Position: Cleared Software Engineer (C++)Location: Owego, NYWork Arrangement: Fully OnsiteClearance: Active U.S. Government Security Clearance requiredPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Cleared Software Engineer with at least 2 years of professional C++ development experience to support mission-critical software development efforts in a DOD or high-reliability manufacturing environment. This role will work fully onsite in Owego, NY, contributing to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of embedded or system-level software used in defense or advanced manufacturing applications.The ideal candidate has hands-on experience working in regulated, structured environments and is comfortable collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain software applications using C++Support software development efforts for DOD programs or manufacturing systems, following established engineering and security standardsParticipate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and documentationCollaborate with systems, hardware, manufacturing, and test engineers to integrate software with complex systemsTroubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issuesDevelop and maintain technical documentation in accordance with program and compliance requirementsSupport software verification, validation, and configuration management activitiesAdhere to security, safety, and quality standards required for cleared environments
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline2+ years of professional C++ development experienceExperience working in a DOD, defense contractor, or manufacturing environmentActive U.S. Government Security Clearance (Secret or higher preferred)Strong understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including object-oriented design and debuggingAbility to work fully onsite in Owego, NY
