**Job Title: Cleared Outside Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a 1st Class Outside Machinist with an active or recently active secret security clearance. In this role, you will be responsible for the overhaul and repair of pumps, motors, valves, and other auxiliary equipment. This position requires specific submarine torpedo tube or 'sail' experience. The work will be conducted at two locations in Virginia. **Responsibilities** + Overhaul and repair pumps, motors, valves, and auxiliary equipment. + Perform open, inspect, and repair work on marine sea water, hydraulic, and diesel systems. + Conduct repair and restoration work on propulsion shafts, shaft couplings, and vibration reducers. + Remove, inspect, and repair various components of submarine sail, such as periscopes, masts, and antennas. + Repair and overhaul ship’s weapons and ordinance systems, including torpedo tubes and launchers. + Install and repair foundations for operating machinery and principal structures/components. **Essential Skills** + Submarine torpedo tube or 'sail' experience. + Experience in machining and repair of marine components. + Active or recent secret security clearance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a Machinist Mate or Engineman. + Ability to provide own tools and personal protective equipment. + No specific licenses or certifications required. **Why Work Here?** Join a dedicated team that values specialized skills and offers the opportunity for growth and potential direct hire.
