Join a groundbreaking new EES Battery Storage unit program set to run for the next 2-3 years. Training will take place on the first shift from 5:50am to 2:05pm until March 1st. After that, the schedule will transition to a 6am to 6pm Continental 4 crew model. You will have the opportunity to coordinate which crew—A, B, C, or D—you will join.
ResponsibilitiesPerform manufacturing assembly at various operating stations throughout the battery line.Conduct quality checks on parts.Pack and prepare parts for shipment.Assemble and sub-assemble battery packs.Maintain and ensure cleanliness of the cell and the facility.Train on multiple stations of the line, involving tasks such as adding components to battery packs, using torque tools, and completing tasks by clicking a button.Essential SkillsAbility to follow instructions and pay attention for the entire duration of orientation or scheduled shift (8-12 hour days).Capacity to learn multiple stations throughout the manufacturing process.Ability to stand on feet for the entire shift and stay active, potentially for 8-12 hours.Comfort with performing assigned tasks, which may involve moving around to break down boxes, move materials, or help load the line.6 months of assembly or machine operating experience.High school diploma or GED.Adherence to facility rules, including staying off cell phones during work hours.Ability to lift or move 15-20 pounds.Why Work Here?Enjoy a $75 weekly perfect attendance bonus paid biweekly, along with practically no-cost benefits. Work EnvironmentWork in a $62 million brand new facility in Auburn Hills. Enjoy a temperature-controlled and clean environment with new equipment throughout. Contractors will wear lab coats, boots, and safety glasses for protection. Orientation on the first shift is mandatory for the first week before transitioning to the desired shift.
