Job Title: Pipette Manufacturing and Assembly Specialist

Job Description

This position involves manufacturing and assembling pipettes, focusing on the manual assembly process under a microscope. You will be responsible for loading glass pieces into heat packaging and shaping the pipette tips. Cross-training in the automated manufacturing department will be provided.

ResponsibilitiesManufacture and assemble pipettes using manual processes under a microscope.Load glass pieces into heat packaging for microscope work.Operate pedal to transfer heat and shape pipette tips.Participate in cross-training in the automated manufacturing department.Split work between clean room and warehouse, focusing on inventory control.Monitor and meet daily output and yield requirements.Release employees if they do not continue to improve.Work comfortably under a microscope for extended periods.Essential SkillsProficiency in microscope work.Experience in production and inspection.Ability to assemble small components.Hand dexterity.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfortable with clean room protocols.Strong inventory management skills.Ability to measure accuracy under a microscope.Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a clean room environment following all gowning procedures, including wearing a hairnet, washing hands, and avoiding excessive makeup, lotions, or perfumes. Dress code includes long pants and close-toed shoes. Adjustable desks and ergonomic tools are available to minimize discomfort, with encouragement for short breaks to rest and stretch. Shift options include 1st shift (Monday to Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm) and 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
