This role ensures positions are accurately classified, equitably compensated, and filled through fair, timely, and compliant recruitment processes. By providing expert guidance to managers and maintaining consistent HR practices, the position supports workforce stability, reduces risk, and helps DCYF attract and retain qualified staff as the agency continues to grow and evolve. In this role, under limited supervision, the Classification and Recruitment Specialist will provide professional human resources services and technical guidance to supervisors, managers, employees, and HR staff across the agency. This role requires a strong working knowledge of human resources principles and practices and serves as a subject-matter resource in classification, compensation, and recruitment/selection activities. You will deliver expert evaluation, analysis, and advisory support to ensure positions are accurately classified, compensation practices are applied consistently, and recruitment processes are fair, effective, and compliant. This position partners closely with managers to provide guidance on workforce needs, job design, and hiring strategies. In addition, the Classification and Recruitment Specialist is responsible for maintaining, updating, and improving HR systems, processes, and procedures that are essential to effective agency operations and service delivery. **Minimum Qualifications** **_**To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.**_** Three (3) years of human resources experience. At least three (1) year of this experience must include full cycle recruitment and management consultation experience and at least (1) year of this experience must include experience conducting job analysis/classification for positions in a wide variety of classifications and levels.
