**Job Title: Class A Machinist**
**$30+/hour depending on experience**

**Job Description**
The Class A Machinist independently performs complex CNC setups, creates and optimizes G & M code programs, designs fixtures, and leads troubleshooting efforts. This role is essential in high-mix/low-volume environments and often serves as a floor mentor and problem-solver across shifts.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform complex CNC setups and independently create and optimize G & M code programs.
+ Design fixtures and lead troubleshooting efforts in a high-mix/low-volume environment.
+ Serve as a floor mentor and problem-solver across shifts.
+ Develop and troubleshoot programs, select tooling, and design work holding independently.
+ Lead setups for complex parts, including custom fixturing, probing routines, and zeroing strategy.
+ Diagnose and resolve advanced machining issues related to surface finish, tool wear, vibration, or tolerance stack-up.
+ Analyze cycle times and suggest toolpath or fixture modifications to improve throughput.
+ Partner with engineering on DFM feedback, new part trials, and prototype development.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary machining education strongly preferred.
+ 6+ years of experience operating and programming CNC lathes/mills.
+ Expert proficiency in G & M code, blueprint reading, and GD&T interpretation.
+ Skilled in multi-axis CNC programming and use of IGF & CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).
+ Proven setup and operation experience on Okuma Multus B300/B400 or similar multi-axis equipment.
+ High fluency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and aerospace tolerancing standards.
+ Skilled with micrometers, indicators, bore gauges, and related inspection tools.
+ Strong leadership, communication, and process improvement skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with tight turnaround, low-to-medium volume production.
+ Familiarity with ERP systems (JobBOSS2 a plus).
+ Experience machining exotic materials and aerospace-grade metals.
+ Exposure to 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $83200.00/yr.
