Clamp Truck Operator
**Job Title: Clamp Truck Operator** **Job Description** The Clamp Truck Operator ensures that all units are properly banded and have a clear visible load tag when being loaded. They check for broken or missing straps, stage units in the warehouse, and load/unload trailers safely and efficiently. This position requires performing visual quality inspections on items, ensuring accurate truck counts on trailers, and verifying paperwork accuracy. This role conducts the final visual quality inspection of all items loaded and unloaded. **Responsibilities** + Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents, or incidents immediately. + Complete online safety training each month as assigned. + Maintain regular and predictable attendance, demonstrating exemplary attendance at all times. + Work flexible or extended hours as needed. + Read the Wet End run schedule and lay down the correct rolls for upcoming paper grades. + Drive and handle rolls safely and in accordance with company rules and training. + Assist operators in peeling and prepping rolls if rolls are damaged; do not return damaged rolls to roll stock. + Ensure butt rolls are properly prepped for return to the roll room. + Clean and reorganize the warehouse as needed to maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure proper stock rotation. + Unload trucks or railcars as needed, following all paperwork and applicable processes. **Essential Skills** + Experience operating clamp trucks, clamp forklifts, reach trucks, and stand-up forklifts. + Proficiency with RF scanners and reach forklifts. + Ability to read the Wet End run schedule. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to work in a team-oriented and employee-friendly environment. + Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy year-round employment for job stability and exceptional pay with affordable benefits, including life, medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match.
