Claims Director
Our client is seeking a Claims Director to join their team The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten or more years experience which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title: Claims Director** **Location: Remote, preferred in Sacramento, CA** **Pay Range: starting from $85.00 per hour** **What’s the Job?** The Claims Director in collaboration with others, will oversee the claims administration policies and procedures and assure that payments are appropriate. The Claims Manager will collaborate with claims review service provider(s) staff and ensure all claim reviews are timely, accurate, and follow the written procedures. The Claims Director will liaise with the participating utilities regularly on matters related to claims administration to understand each participating claim practices and procedures. The Claims Director is also responsible for timely and detailed reporting and presentations to the overseeing council. **What’s Needed?** + 10 or more years of progressive experience in insurance claims, to include first- and third-party liability and injury claims + Worked in a leadership capacity managing complex claims portfolios or large catastrophic events, and casualty claims, to include wildfires + Comprehensive knowledge of the litigation process and insurance liability best practices + Ability to analyze data and generate comprehensive reports and presentations + Experience working and managing vendors, contracts, and billing + Demonstrated experience presenting to and communicating with senior leadership + Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or industry certifications preferred Preferred Skills: + Ability to build relationships by cultivating trust and rapport + Comfortable working independently as a player-coach + Strong leadership and negotiation skills + Ability to meet deadlines under pressure If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
