Job Description

The Civil Engineering Technologist will lead a specialized site assessment and feasibility study focused on evaluating an existing land parcel for the development of a secure, compliant explosives storage facility. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technical design and regulatory rigor, ensuring every square meter of the site meets stringent safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed site assessments and feasibility studies for explosives storage facility development.Design and evaluate drainage and grading plans for the site.Perform topographic and geotechnical feasibility assessments.Generate structured technical reports, including CAD drawings and environmental impact studies.Model designs using AutoCAD or Solidworks.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience as a Civil Engineering Technologist.Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) or equivalent, or eligibility for certification.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.Experience in site evaluation, including topographic and geotechnical assessments.Technical reporting skills with a focus on structured feasibility reports.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.Familiarity with the Table of Distances for explosives and blast mitigation principles.Experience with Defense or Explosives is an asset.An uncompromising eye for detail is essential when working with explosives.

Work Environment

This position is based on-site at the Prescott office.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Brockville, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $38.00/hr.
