Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer with expertise in land development for commercial and private sector projects. The role requires experience in Montgomery County and PG County, focusing on land development, roads, grading, and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing projects and making informed decisions.

Responsibilities

Manage land development projects including roads, grading, and subdivision projects.Design and retrofit pond outflow and control structures, including modifications to riser pipes, valves, and weirs.Conduct stormwater management design for roadway corridors with Environmentally Sensitive Design.Complete culvert analysis and design, stream restoration, and hydraulic modeling.

Essential Skills

At least 4 years of experience in land development, stormwater management, sediment control, and grading.Minimum of 3 years of experience designing with Civil 3D.Proficiency in AutoCAD (LDD preferred) and Autodesk software.Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering strongly preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in the private sector is highly preferred.Knowledge of Montgomery County, Charles County, and Prince George's County regulations is a significant advantage.Capability to work independently and think critically on the job.Experience in stormwater, sediment, erosion control, and water resource engineering.

The work environment comprises approximately 50 employees at the Silver Spring office, the corporate headquarters. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Silver Spring, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $45.67/hr.
