Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer with a focus on land development for our Private Sector Division. This role is based out of our Silver Spring, MD office, with opportunities to work on commercial and private sector projects. We are looking for someone with experience in Montgomery County and PG County, with a strong background in land development, roads, grades of land, and proficiency in AutoCAD (LDD preferred). Responsibilities + Design and develop land for commercial and private sector projects. + Perform specific engineering tasks related to pond retrofits, including modifications of riser pipes, valves, weirs, and control structures. + Develop stormwater management designs with environmentally sensitive design for roadway corridors. + Conduct culvert analysis and design, stream restoration, and hydraulic modeling. + Work independently and think critically to solve engineering problems. Essential Skills + At least 4 years of experience in land development, storm water management, sediment control, and grading. + Minimum of 3 years of experience designing with Civil 3D. + Proficiency in AutoCAD, specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D. + Experience with land development projects in Montgomery County and PG County. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering preferred, but not required. + Private sector experience is highly preferred, though public sector experience will be considered. + Experience with water resources and water resource engineering. Work Environment Our Silver Spring office, which serves as our headquarters, is home to around 50 employees. We operate with a project team structure rather than a departmental layout, providing ample growth opportunities. We offer a hybrid work schedule based on candidate suitability and reimburse for future certifications such as PMP or CMP. As a stable company with a 50-year presence in the DMV area, we emphasize teaching our unique processes to less experienced engineers. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Silver Spring, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $45.67/hr.
