Job Description We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to lead and support the preparation of construction documents for site development projects. This role involves overseeing technical design efforts, supervising design staff, and ensuring high‑quality deliverables across multiple site development components. The position supports projects from concept through construction documentation and requires proficiency in civil design software and strong coordination skills. Responsibilities + Lead and oversee the development of construction drawings for site development projects. + Supervise and mentor a design team in the preparation of grading, paving, drainage, detention, and utility plans. + Coordinate closely with the Project Manager to ensure project objectives, schedules, and quality standards are met. + Develop and refine three‑dimensional surfaces using survey data, design criteria, and project requirements. + Create design surfaces from alignments and profiles to support accurate modeling and plan production. + Maintain well‑organized and structured project files to promote efficient collaboration and version control. + Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. + Support coordination with reviewing agencies and internal teams during design reviews and permitting. Essential Skills + Civil engineering and site development design experience. + Strong background in construction plan production and technical design. + Experience with grading, drainage, paving, and utility systems. + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or comparable civil design software. Additional Skills & QualificationsQualifications + Minimum of 3 years of civil site development design experience. + Experience producing construction plans for land or site development projects. + Engineer in Training License + Proven ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary design teams and reviewing authorities. + Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills with attention to detail. + Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
