We are seeking a skilled Civil Design Engineer to support land development, residential, and site civil design projects from concept through construction. This role involves preparing comprehensive design plans, performing stormwater analysis, coordinating permitting activities, and producing detailed engineering documents in compliance with NY State and NYC standards.

Location: Holtsville, NY

Schedule: 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Support land development, residential, and site civil design projects from early concept through constructionPrepare design plans including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater systems, and erosion & sediment controlPerform stormwater management analysis and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling compliant with NYSDEC and NYCDEP standardsDevelop erosion and sediment control plans, prepare permit packages, and coordinate with regulatory agenciesProduce engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3DConduct site visits and field assessments; collaborate with contractors, architects, and project stakeholdersPrepare engineering reports, technical analyses, specifications, and cost estimatesEnsure adherence to NY State and NYC regulations, codes, and permitting requirements

Essential Skills

4+ years of experience in land development and site civil designStrong experience in grading, drainage, stormwater management, and erosion/sedimentation controlProficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3DExperience working on NY State and NYC projects

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $68.00/hr.
