Design & Technical WorkCompleting and reviewing detailed design tasks with senior engineers.Leading complex components such as stormwater management, flood studies, and roadway geometry.Preparing site grading, water and sewer layouts, and overall site design.Project Management & CollaborationManaging small to mid-sized projects from concept through construction.Producing preliminary site sketches that optimize layouts and meet client objectives.Overseeing and mentoring Civil Engineer I team members and designers.Reviewing work completed by others to ensure accuracy and completeness.Coordination & Client InteractionAttending public hearings (Planning Board, Town Board, etc.) as needed.Participating in construction progress meetings and performing site visits.Collaborating directly with clients to develop practical, efficient design solutions.What Success Looks LikeDelivering high‑quality work on time and within budget.Creating plans that are clear, constructible, and technically sound.Working collaboratively with internal teams to meet project goals and exceed client expectations.What You BringBS in Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure in North CarolinaProficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3DStrong experience with stormwater management, hydrology, and hydraulicsFamiliarity with software such as AutoCAD Storm Sewers or HydrographsAbility to design vertical/horizontal roadway geometryExperience managing projects and coordinating with internal/external stakeholdersCapability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and perform construction site visits when neededTop SkillsCivil Engineering • Land Development • AutoCAD Civil 3D • Stormwater Design • Site Planning • Drainage • Roadway Geometry • Project Management • Site Design • EIT/PE Knowledge

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
