What You’ll Do As a Civil Engineer II, you’ll play a key role in site design, coordination, and project delivery by: Design & Technical Work + Completing and reviewing detailed design tasks with senior engineers. + Leading complex components such as stormwater management, flood studies, and roadway geometry. + Preparing site grading, water and sewer layouts, and overall site design. Project Management & Collaboration + Managing small to mid-sized projects from concept through construction. + Producing preliminary site sketches that optimize layouts and meet client objectives. + Overseeing and mentoring Civil Engineer I team members and designers. + Reviewing work completed by others to ensure accuracy and completeness. Coordination & Client Interaction + Attending public hearings (Planning Board, Town Board, etc.) as needed. + Participating in construction progress meetings and performing site visits. + Collaborating directly with clients to develop practical, efficient design solutions. What Success Looks Like + Delivering high‑quality work on time and within budget. + Creating plans that are clear, constructible, and technically sound. + Working collaboratively with internal teams to meet project goals and exceed client expectations.
