Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in preparing engineering and project documents, including due diligence reports, construction documents, and drainage reports. This position requires the application of engineering principles and techniques to effectively plan, design, and manage projects.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of engineering/project documents, including due diligence reports, construction documents, drainage reports, specifications, and construction schedule/estimating.Use reports, maps, drawings, engineering plans, tests, and aerial photographs to assess soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and topographical and geologic data for project planning and design.Research and apply various jurisdictional requirements, including Zoning and Subdivision Regulations, to engineering design.Develop engineering drawings from concept through final construction documents, including Site Layout, Grading/Drainage, Utilities, and Erosion Control Design utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.Support zoning, ordinance, permit assessments, and cost estimates to determine project feasibility based on data analysis.Provide field observation services as needed.Apply engineering knowledge and best practices.Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments.Understand and apply client’s standards, specifications, codes of practice, and risk tolerance.Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.Registered Professional Engineer in Tennessee.At least 6 years of experience in residential and/or commercial site design, entitlement processes, permitting, and coordinating construction activities.Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Blue Beam.Strong understanding of industry, municipality, regulatory, and business operation standards.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsProfessional Engineering (P.E.) License is a huge plus or intent to obtain within a year.Previous experience managing project teams, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.Alignment with company values: People, Passion, and Performance.Work Environment

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
