Civil Engineer – (PE or EIT) Location: New Jersey Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an Civil Engineer to join our growing Land Development team. This role is ideal for a technically strong, detail‑oriented engineer who can independently manage projects, and interface confidently with clients and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in New Jersey land development, stormwater design, and civil site engineering, with a clear path toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign Responsibilities + Prepare comprehensive site plans, subdivision plans, and grading plans + Perform drainage calculations and stormwater management design + Develop road construction plans, cost estimates, and public bid specifications + Complete septic system designs, retaining wall designs, and structural design components Project Management Responsibilities + Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders + Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal oversight + Attend planning/board meetings and provide professional testimony at public hearings Required Skills & Qualifications + civil engineering experience + Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering + EIT certification required; must be on track for PE licensure OR PE Licensure + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, or similar + Ability to independently design stormwater drainage systems and perform related calculations + Strong communication skills and comfort interacting directly with clients + Experience with New Jersey land development regulations and permitting processes or similar states Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $72.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
