Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer/Project Manager with over 6 years of experience to support the planning, design, and delivery of water, stormwater, and sewer projects in New York City. The successful candidate will serve as the technical lead and project coordinator, collaborating closely with internal engineering teams and municipal agencies such as the NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The role requires strong civil and water resources design expertise, clear communication skills, and the ability to manage tasks, deliverables, schedules, and client expectations.

ResponsibilitiesPerform and oversee civil and water resource engineering design, including stormwater, drainage, sewer, and utility systems.Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling for stormwater, sewer networks, and flood risk analysis.Prepare design documents: plans, profiles, grading, utilities, site drainage, and construction details.Review and produce technical reports, feasibility studies, and engineering calculations.Ensure compliance with NYC DEP standards and regulations.Mentor and manage junior staff.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality assurance and quality control.Write drainage reports, modeling summaries, and feasibility studies.Essential SkillsProficient in stormwater, water resources, drainage, sewer, and pumping station design.Experience with hydraulic modeling, stormwater design, and flood mitigation.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS.6-10 years of experience in water resources, drainage, sewer, and water infrastructure.Experience in technical coordination and client communication.Strong experience with NYC DEP, wastewater design, SWPPP, and combined sewer overflow mitigation.Proficiency in Infoworks ICM and EPA SWMM.Additional Skills & QualificationsPossession of EIT certification and plans to attain PE licensure within a year.Experience in green infrastructure design and implementation.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr.

Comprehensive benefits package offered by Boomi, including 401K matching with immediate vesting and PE licensure support. Company pays for 80% of most benefits and some 100% coverage.
