We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering department. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience with a solid foundation in civil engineering principles. A Professional Engineer (PE) license and proficiency in using CADD and Civil 3D software are required.
Responsibilities
+ Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
+ Utilize CADD, Civil 3D, and related software to create detailed drawings, layouts, and models for stormwater drainage, erosion and sediment control, land development, and utilities design projects.
+ Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for site development projects.
+ Conduct site investigations and assessments to gather necessary data for the design process.
+ Participate in client meetings to discuss project requirements, progress, and design solutions.
+ Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
+ Proficiency in CADD, Civil 3D, and hydrology modeling software.
+ Experience in stormwater drainage design, DEQ regulations, and Erosion Control regulations.
+ Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Excellent communication and time management skills.
+ Attention to detail.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in land development and drafting.
+ Strong project management capabilities.
Work Environment
The position requires working five days in the office, Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours per week. Approximately 50-75% of the work is based in Henrico. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, VA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $45.00/hr.
