Job Title: Civil CAD Technician This is a remote role anywhere in the eastern time zone. Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Civil CAD Technician to join our team in a 100% remote capacity. This role involves serving as a Project Design Estimator for various small to mid-sized site development projects. The individual will be responsible for creating detailed drawings for underground drainage and piping systems using AutoCAD and a web-based design platform. The focus will primarily be on 2D drawings, but the ability to conceptualize depth is essential. This position requires a high degree of independence and accountability to ensure work is completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities + Create detailed drawings for underground drainage and piping systems using AutoCAD and a web-based design platform. + Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all project drawings. + Conceptualize depth in 2D drawings for effective visualization. + Communicate effectively with internal partners and external clients, stakeholders, etc. + Work independently in a remote setting, maintaining self-accountability. Essential Skills + 1-3 years of AutoCAD experience for civil engineering projects. + Experience in drainage design. + Proficiency in civil drafting and civil engineering concepts. + Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience using a web-based design platform is a plus. + Higher education within CAD or a related field is preferred. + Civil design estimation experience, such as bill of materials and takeoffs, is preferred. + Prior experience with ADS stormwater products is a plus. + Land survey CAD experience is a plus. Work Environment This position offers a 100% remote work environment, providing the flexibility to sit anywhere within the Eastern time zone.
