Cigna Pharmacy Strategic Planning Senior Director
We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking **Senior Director of Strategy Planning** to join the **Cigna Pharmacy team** . This pivotal role will be responsible for shaping and driving the strategic direction and growth initiatives of the Cigna Pharmacy business. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in the pharmacy landscape, including market dynamics, regulatory trends, and competitive positioning. Success in this role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to lead cross-functional collaboration to translate vision into actionable plans that achieve long-term business objectives. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:** **Business and Financial Strategy:** Lead the development of integrated business and financial strategies to drive sustainable growth and profitability. Define strategic objectives and build actionable roadmaps aligned with Cigna’s mission and long-term vision. **Cigna Pharmacy Growth Strategy:** Own the strategic planning and execution of growth initiatives for Cigna Integrated Pharmacy. Ensure alignment with enterprise-wide priorities and collaborate across business units to identify new market opportunities, expand capabilities, and strengthen competitive positioning. **End-to-End Customer Journey Management** **:** Champion enhancements to the digital and physical customer journey by leveraging emerging technologies and data-driven insights. Drive initiatives that improve user experience, streamline interactions, and deliver personalized, high-quality pharmacy services. **Technology Strategy & Liaison Leadership:** Establish and lead a formal liaison program between pharmacy business units and technology teams. Ensure strategic alignment on digital transformation efforts, including the adoption of AI, machine learning, and automation to accelerate innovation and operational efficiency. **Strategic Partner & Supplier Management:** Lead the identification, evaluation, and selection of strategic partners and suppliers to support delegated pharmacy operations. Ensure partnerships align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and performance standards, while fostering innovation and value creation. **IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE A COMBINATION OF THE FOLLOWING:** + Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MHA, PharmD) preferred. + 12+ years of experience in strategy, business management, or health services, ideally within pharmacy or healthcare. + Proven ability to develop and execute business and financial strategies that drive growth. + Strong leadership presence with experience navigating matrixed organizations and influencing senior stakeholders. + Excellent relationship-building and cross-functional collaboration skills. + Strategic thinker with a track record of anticipating trends and translating insights into actionable plans. + Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft executive-level presentations. + Comfortable simplifying complex topics for diverse audiences, including executive stakeholders. If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 193,300 - 322,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location. This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
