Cigna Pharmacy Operations and Strategy, Managing Director
**Overview:** As Product Operations and Cigna Pharmacy Strategy leader, this role leads product operations across medical, behavioral health, and pharmacy solutions for Cigna Healthcare U.S. as well as leading Cigna Pharmacy strategy. This role will report to the General Manager of Cigna Pharmacy. The product operations leadership scope encompasses medical, behavioral, and pharmacy and is responsible for delivering operational efficiencies, instituting best practices, running a seamless operating model across these functions as well as with business partners, including the Evernorth team. This includes portfolio and program management and delivery, operating effectiveness, business excellence, training, readiness, analytics, communications, regulatory compliance, strategic operations, and governance. This role requires navigating business relationships and influencing at the executive level, as well as deep leadership acumen and an ability to lead a broad and functionally diverse team. A large degree of organizational agility, change management, and strategic mindset are required. In addition to the product operations scope for medical, behavioral and pharmacy this role leads teams responsible for the following within the Cigna Pharmacy team: + Operational Readiness + Business Excellence/Issue Management + Business Architecture/Solution Management + Regulatory/Compliance/Risk Management + Communications – client/member/internal/sales + Reporting/Analytics/Governance + Training and Insights + Sales Readiness + Regulatory Compliance + Pharmacy Network Operations This role will also lead Cigna Pharmacy’s strategy including developing and implementing long-term business strategies, analyzing market trends, and identifying opportunities and risks to ensure the ongoing success of Cigna Pharmacy. This includes: + Defining strategic goals, identifying key initiatives, and creating action plans to achieve those goals. + Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities and potential risks. + Assess organizational performance and identify areas for improvement: + Evaluate existing strategies and processes, identify strengths and weaknesses, and develop recommendations for optimization. + Work with stakeholders to align strategies, ensure clear communication, and build consensus on key decisions. + Monitor and evaluate the success of strategic initiatives: **Qualifications:** + Minimum of 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with focus on Pharmacy experience within a Pharmacy Benefit Manager, a health plan or other pharmacy related business. + Advanced degree such as an MBA/MHA preferred. + Deep understanding of pharmacy supply chain economics gained by work experience at a healthcare/pharmacy benefit management or consulting organization. + Proven ability to navigate business relationships and influencing at the executive level, through organizational agility, change management, and strategic mindset. Strong relationship building skills, with an ability to build trusted, productive partnerships between business leaders and internal/external partners. + Proven senior leader with extensive ability to build solid and collaborative relationships with team members, foster a productive team environment, and coach staff with timely meaningful written and verbal feedback. + Consistent track record of contributing to profitable earnings growth and operational effectiveness.
