**Chiller Plant Operator – Atlanta, GA (Contract)** **Pay:** $28–$36 per hour (based on experience and skill level) Join one of Atlanta’s leading employers and help maintain a safe, efficient, and reliable cooling system across a major university campus. We’re seeking an experienced **Chiller Plant Operator** to monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain centrifugal chillers (up to 2000 tons) and associated systems in compliance with ASME and NFPA standards. **Key Responsibilities** + Monitor and troubleshoot the campus chiller management system + Maintain cooling tower water treatment controllers and related equipment + Perform daily inspections of chiller equipment to ensure proper operation + Conduct chemical sampling and testing to maintain correct water chemistry + Complete preventive maintenance tasks and accurately document work performed + Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and federal safety regulations + Communicate effectively with team members and management to support operations and repairs **Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent + Minimum 2 years of experience operating HVAC equipment + Graduation from an accredited HVAC technical school or equivalent experience + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and twisting + Valid Georgia driver’s license and insurable driving record may be required **Why Work Here** + Competitive pay: $28–$36/hour based on experience and skill level + Up to 16 paid holidays and 11 vacation days in the first year + Generous retirement benefits, including a 9% 403(b) match + Affordable health benefits and tuition reimbursement + Opportunity for permanent placement with a respected institution **Work Environment** + Work across nearly 200 university buildings in 7 zones + Indoor and outdoor environments, including extreme weather and high-noise areas + Public building settings (not private living areas) + Shifts available: 1st **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
