Under broad supervision, you will reconcile and adjust general ledger accounts and/or bank statements. You may also perform moderately complex analyses of performance results. In addition, you will compile, consolidate, and analyze accounting and finance information for financial statements and reports and perform other special projects as assigned.
How you will contribute

Support accounting and external reporting activities including accurate and timely U.S. GAAP reporting and timeliness and integrity of statutory financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, KPIs, fixed assets, restructuring and intercompany charges. TECHNICAL EXPERTISE in accounting and external reporting including understanding U.S. GAAP, IFRS or local GAAP, close processes and financial reporting systems (SAP experience preferred). Knowledge in policy, controls and compliance design including SOX reportingBUSINESS ACUMEN and experience working in FMCG/CPG Industry or Big Four accounting preferredLEADERSHIP SKILLS including proven business partnering and communication skills. The Accounting Coordinator for Caricam will be a key member of our Finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance with accounting standards for the Central America and Caribbean region. This role extends beyond mere record-keeping, seeking to challenge the business, identify financial risks, and propose continuous improvements to optimize our processes and guide business figures with integrity and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting and Financial Management:
Execute and oversee the issuance of financial statements and reports for the Caricam region, ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulations.Perform complex accounting entries and actively participate in operational accounting tasks when necessary.Ensure the correct application of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles, serving as a reference for both standards.Efficiently coordinate and manage external and internal audit processes, working closely with auditors from firms such as PwC and EY, guaranteeing the timely and accurate delivery of information.Support the understanding and application of relevant generic tax principles for the region.Analysis and Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identify financial risks and improvement opportunities, challenging the business with proposals that positively impact financial figures and strategic decision-making.Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process mapping, efficiency identification, and automation implementation.Facilitate the transition and optimization of accounting processes to shared service centers (e.g., Genpact), monitoring their performance indicators.Collaboration and Influential Leadership:
Collaborate closely with internal teams, auditors, and stakeholders from different countries to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication.Although without a direct team to manage, exercise influential leadership to align and motivate various teams involved in accounting and audit processes.Ideal Candidate Requirements:
Academic Background:
Professional degree in Public Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Technical Knowledge:
Advanced proficiency in SAP system (essential).Solid knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS accounting principles (both standards are desirable).Desirable knowledge and experience with financial consolidation systems such as HFM.Familiarity with general tax principles.Proficiency in digital tools for analysis and process improvement.Languages:

Professional Experience:Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in accounting or auditing roles, preferably with experience in multi-country environments, especially in Central America and the Caribbean.Desirable experience in coordinating accounting processes with shared service centers (e.g., Genpact).Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Pharmaceutical industries is highly valued.No Relocation support available
