About the Role

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a Childcare Site Director to lead our Before & After School and Summer Programs at Island Village Elementary. This role is perfect for a hands-on leader who enjoys working with children, supporting staff, and running a high-quality program in a structured, well-supported environment.


You’ll manage daily operations at one site, supervise a small team, and ensure a safe, engaging experience for children—while being supported by a Regional Director, established curriculum, and proven systems.


Schedule

School Year

Monday–Friday6:30–8:00 AM and 3:00–6:00 PM

Summer Program

Monday–Thursday6:30 AM–5:00 PMPay$18.00–$20.00 per hour (based on experience)Key ResponsibilitiesLead, train, schedule, and support program staffMaintain compliance with Florida childcare licensing and Healthy Kids policiesCreate a safe, positive, and engaging environment for childrenCommunicate clearly with parents, school staff, and leadershipManage attendance, timekeeping, and basic payroll submissionsSupport enrollment growth and community engagementImplement Healthy Kids curriculum and summer camp programmingPartner with Regional Leadership to continuously improve program quality Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree with 2–3 years of supervisory experienceActive Florida Director Credential (required)Completion of 40 hours of required training (current documented transcript required)CPR/First Aid certificationSuperior administrative and supervisory skills, preferably in a consumer-driven environmentExcellent customer service and communication skillsProven ability to work as part of a team and help create a team-oriented work environmentCommitment to delivering excellent programs and managing personnel expensesMust pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checksMust be medically fit to perform job dutiesProfessional, reliable, passionate, and prompt with a warm, friendly, caring, and upbeat personalityExcellent time management skills
