You will: Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious, age-appropriate meals and snacks in accordance with USDA/CACFP guidelines. Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special meal plans for individual children as needed. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen that meets local health and safety regulations. Manage food inventory, order supplies, and monitor stock to minimize waste and control costs. Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Prepare bottles and infant meals following proper sanitation and handling procedures. Maintain accurate records of menus, food temperatures, inventory, and meal counts for audits and inspections. Collaborate with administrative staff to develop seasonal menus and ensure meal service aligns with program needs. Support classroom staff during mealtimes when needed and model positive nutrition practices. Participate in staff meetings and professional development related to nutrition and food safety
If you have:
A High School Diploma or equivalent. 1+ year of experience in food preparation and cooking. A food handling certificate or the ability to obtain before date of hire.
