**Position Details**
Position - Lead Architecture (Semiconductor & Advanced Manufacturing)
Business Line - Building Engineering
Base Office / Region - Gurgaon / Mumbai / Hyderabad / Bangalore
**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Architecture – Advanced Manufacturing.
The role requires leadership skills and expertise in Architectural design & technical skills with prior experience in Advanced Technology Facilities sector along with project management experience. Ability to mentor and guide project teams while ensuring compliance to quality and schedule on multiple projects.
This role works closely with business leadership, other departmental heads and the project management/design management teams to ensure smooth project flow, effective design delivery, client satisfaction in alignment with organizational/business goals.
The role calls for an entrepreneurial mind-set for setting up advanced manufacturing design capabilities from ground-up and growing a team of capable project architects and designers. Candidate will be occasionally required to act as a Project Architect in the initial months of project set-up on some key projects till a suitable senior level resource is identified and on-boarded. Travel to project site locations, client meetings and other AECOM offices will be required.
**Responsibilities:**
**Team Management** : Recruit, train, mentor and lead a team of Architects and designers.
Build team capability through reviews, mentorship, and guidance fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning. Ensure effective utilization of resources, uniform workload distribution across project teams.
**Manage Architectural design delivery** , scope, timelines, resources, and risks of the projects. On-time design delivery across all projects. Support project teams, Identify and resolve design bottlenecks proactively. Ability to balance design excellence with timelines and business goals
Support in **business development** , bidding of new proposals.
Development and adherence to defined **design systems and processes** suitable for Advanced Manufacturing projects. Ensure compliance to QA/QC systems and quality of design deliverables.
**Leadership & Coordination** : Work closely with business leadership, other departmental heads, Project/design management teams to implement effective design delivery, project flow in alignment with organizational goals. Represent the Design Department in inter-disciplinary coordination and management meetings. Excellent communication, presentation and client facing skills.
**Core Competencies:**
* Architectural design of Advanced Technology Facilities (viz., Semiconductor/Li-Ion Battery/Solar PV Manufacturing FAB and Ancillary facilities)
* Conceptual Architectural design and site master planning
* Man-material flows, logistics flow, adjacency design for ATF facilities
* Cleanroom/Dry room Architecture (semiconductor/Lifesciences/Battery Manufacturing)
* Understanding of FEED and BOD design.
* Design development, Tender and construction detailing.
* Understanding of materials, technical specifications, BoQs for tender documentation.
* Advanced understanding of construction methodologies of complex industrial facilities.
* Understanding of Global design and construction practices across Europe, US and APAC.
* Strong understanding of application of BIM tools in complex engineering projects
* Commercial awareness
* Understanding of statutory regulations, NBC, IBC, ADA and other international codes and standards.
* Understanding of Green building certification requirements, LEED/IGBC, others.
**Software Skills:**
* Revit (working knowledge)
* Navisworks
* Bluebeam Revu
* Realtime visualization & rendering tools (Enscape / Lumion or similar)
* Project or task management tools
**Qualifications**
**Experience & Qualification:**
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (registered with Council of Architecture)
20+ years of experience in Architectural design of complex projects.
Around 8 to10 years’ experience in delivering Architectural design of Advanced Technology Facilities
Prior international experience with an A/E Design consultancy / EPC / engineering centre.
Proven track record with at least 3+ years of experience in a similar leadership role
