Chief of Staff - Evernorth - Remote
**Candidates who reside within 50 miles of the following locations may be asked to work in person three days per week: Bloomfield, CT, Chattanooga, TN, Denver, CO, St Louis, MO, or Scottsdale, AZ.** **Reports to:** Vice President, Provider Data Management **Department:** Provider Experience & Operations (PX&O) / Technology & Operations (T&O) **Why this role matters** The Chief of Staff is the VP’s strategic right hand—unlocking capacity, aligning cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring relentless execution against Provider Data Management (PDM) goals. The role blends strategy, operations, and communications to accelerate outcomes across a highly matrixed enterprise. **Position Summary** The Chief of Staff drives clarity, coordination, and accountability across PDM and partner teams. You’ll orchestrate operating rhythms, stand up tracking for goals and KPIs, synthesize executive-ready content, and keep the leadership team focused on the most business-critical work. Success looks like crisp priorities, smooth execution, and measurable progress on PDM’s multi‑year roadmap. **Key responsibilities** + **Strategic partner to the VP, PDM.** Act as a force multiplier to increase the effectiveness of the VP and Senior Leadership Team (SLT); ensure day‑to‑day execution aligns to the most critical enterprise initiatives. + **Operating cadence & meetings.** Coordinate and facilitate operating rhythms—from tactical huddles to weekly staff meetings and quarterly strategy sessions—including agenda design, facilitation, notes, decisions, and action‑plan follow‑through. + **Goal setting & performance management.** Partner with PDM leaders to define team goals and supporting KPIs that align to Provider Experience & Operations and Technology & Operations priorities; collaborate with PDM and Operations Enablement on tracking mechanisms and regular updates. + **Cross‑functional alignment.** Work collaboratively with the SLT and leaders across the enterprise to ensure alignment, remove blockers, and drive execution in a highly matrixed environment. + **Executive communications & briefing materials.** Collaborate with Chiefs of Staff across PX&O to produce executive‑ready content that conveys strategic goals, technology roadmap, operations excellence, and progress updates. + **Roadmap orchestration.** Help build and refine the multi‑year PDM strategic roadmap, incorporating technology investments, Global Service Partners, third‑party vendors, and industry trends. + **Problem solving & project leadership.** Lead special projects requiring analytical rigor, structured project management, and innovative thinking; drive issues to resolution and enforce accountability across owners and milestones. **Qualifications (Requirements):** + **Education/Experience.** Bachelor's degree or higher strongly preferred or equivalent work experience requried. + **Technology** . Solid experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook PowerPoint) and Copilot. + **Executive presence & communication.** Exceptional written and verbal communications; comfortable presenting to large, senior audiences. + **Provider ecosystem fluency.** Strong business acumen with the ability to connect dots across the provider landscape; proven influence in a matrixed organization and trusted partnerships with internal/external stakeholders. + **Strategic thinking.** Ability to anticipate industry trends and integrate them into organizational plans and priorities. + **Cross‑functional leadership.** Demonstrated success leading and influencing teams without authority; connect with staff individually and in large groups; set clear expectations and uphold accountability. + **Relationship building.** Skilled at developing strong relationships across all levels of the organization and with external partners. + **Operational excellence.** Strong analytical capability, project management discipline, and self‑starter mindset to thrive in a highly matrixed, highly self‑managed role. **How success will be measured:** + Clear, synchronized goals and KPIs for PDM, with routine visibility to progress and risks + Cadenced, high‑quality leadership forums that drive decisions and action + Executable, living multi‑year roadmap with cross‑enterprise alignment + Timely delivery of executive‑level materials and briefings that influence outcomes If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload. For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 119,600 - 199,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
