Chief Engineer
Job Title: Chief EngineerJob Description

The Chief Engineer is pivotal in leading the engineering team to ensure high-quality work and exceptional customer service. This role involves managing the engineering program in alignment with the management team's objectives, the engineering platform, and client expectations. The Chief Engineer will uphold the highest ethical standards, adhering to the company's Business Code of Conduct and policies. Responsibilities include planning, implementing, coordinating, and supervising all mechanical operations, maintenance, communications, energy management, and manpower development programs for assigned properties.

ResponsibilitiesSupervise engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and personnel development.Ensure performance management, coaching, and development of team members through established HR processes.Coordinate and participate in the annual scheduling and execution of the Safety Program.Manage operational accounts for the building, including variance reporting.Oversee utility management, including tracking, budgeting, and variance analysis.Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment.Recommend and implement improvements for preventive maintenance programs.Develop and maintain effective preventive and predictive maintenance programs.Develop and maintain maintenance and safety procedure manuals.Coordinate maintenance with contractors and vendors.Oversee all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety.Maintain communication with tenants, clients, and property management.Respond to emergency situations promptly.Ensure compliance with all codes and regulations.Essential Skills7+ years of related experience in commercial property operations.High School Diploma or GED.Strong communication, leadership, technical proficiency, organization, and interpersonal skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsVocational/Technical certification and applicable licenses.EMS knowledge and budgeting expertise.Basic computer skills.2+ years of lead experience is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is based indoors at a climate-controlled, professional office environment within a new R&D facility. It requires standing, walking, computer use, and physical movement as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00/hr.
