In addition to our core facility and project management capabilities, our platform offers direct access to our Best-in-Class services, including ESG, Security Consulting, Workplace Strategy, and Workplace Experience. **About the role** Responsible for engineering operations and oversees vendors and subcontractors. Applies sophisticated skills to perform complex preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds. Working under limited supervision, monitors building system operations and performance. Uses several trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling. **What You’ll Do** •Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and company directives related to building operations and workplace safety. •Lead engineering operations, assigning work orders and coordinating tasks among coworkers and subcontractors; provide technical guidance and informal training. •Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance to minimize business disruption and extend the life of building systems. •Monitor and maintain building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire alarms to ensure optimal performance and environmental compliance. •Inspect work performed by engineering staff and subcontractors to ensure quality and adherence to standards. •Respond promptly to emergency situations, coordinating assistance as needed. •Maintain accurate documentation and complete other duties as assigned. **Safety Champion / Chief Engineer** •This dual-role position combines technical leadership with a strong focus on safety and compliance. The Chief Engineer / Safety Champion: •Oversees all engineering operations and ensures optimal system performance. •Leads safety initiatives, fostering a culture of risk awareness and regulatory compliance. •Applies deep engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills to manage projects and resolve issues efficiently. •Promotes continuous improvement and operational excellence through proactive planning and team coordination. **What you’ll need** •Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future. •Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school and a minimum of seven years related experience and/or trade school training. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. •Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university preferred. •Universal CFC certification required. Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills. •Physical requirements to include stooping, standing, climbing and frequent lifting of a minimum of 50 lbs. Must have the ability to operate an EMS and CMMS system. Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite. •Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and goals. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project goals.
