**Job Title: Cherry Picker Operator**
**Job Description**
As a Cherry Picker Operator, you will play a vital role in maintaining an orderly and clean warehouse environment while executing tasks such as pulling orders for an electrical wiring distributor. You will be responsible for operating warehouse equipment safely and performing daily safety inspections prior to use. Your duties will include receiving incoming materials, accurately identifying and breaking them down, noting discrepancies, and preparing orders for shipping.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain the warehouse in an orderly and clean state.
+ Follow all company safety procedures.
+ Operate warehouse equipment and perform daily safety inspections prior to first use.
+ Receive incoming material in accordance with WMS processes.
+ Accurately identify and break down material, note discrepancies, and prepare orders for shipping.
+ Select, check, and pack UPS orders following designated WMS processes for packing, weighing, manifesting, palletizing, and loading.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with picking and order picking.
+ Proficiency with RF scanner and cherry picker operations.
+ Understanding of inventory control and material handling.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Understanding of packaging and staging orders per order tickets.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is a traditional warehouse setting, with potential exposure to heat or cold due to seasonal changes. Safety shoes are required, and safety goggles and gloves may also be necessary. The ability to lift 70 pounds and move freely is essential. Current shifts include a 2nd shift from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m., and a 1st shift from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
