Cherry Picker Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cherry Picker Operator to join our team in Upper Marlboro, MD. This role involves order selecting in a large pick section, utilizing cherry pickers to transport products ranging from 2 lbs to 75 lbs. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, starting at 2:30 pm and continuing until all orders are completed for the day.

ResponsibilitiesOperate cherry picker equipment to select and transport orders.Handle products weighing between 2 lbs to 75 lbs.Utilize wire guidance system to safely navigate between close-set racks.Maintain productivity and accuracy, with nightly productivity reports and monthly performance evaluations.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years experience operating a cherry picker in a large distribution center.Experience with wire guidance systems is highly preferred.Demonstrate a strong work history, with no more than 4 jobs in the past 5 years.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in a distribution center over 100,000 sqft.Commitment to punctuality and reliability to maintain order flow.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Join our fast-paced, clean, and organized warehouse environment spanning over 220,000 square feet with more than 25 bay doors. Employees are responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the workspace. You will work specifically in the large pick segment with floor-to-ceiling racks equipped with wire guidance systems. Our facility is state-of-the-art, having opened in February 2024.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
