Job Title: Chemistry Lab Technician

Job Description

The Chemistry Lab Technician will focus on performance testing on raw materials using aseptic techniques. The role involves testing and verifying active ingredients, as well as performing color and texture standards. Documenting finished product testing using established methods and auditing expired chemicals are also key aspects of this position. The technician will perform assigned testing for samples returned for complaints.

Responsibilities

Coordinate rework materials that have been returned or damaged internally.Assist with color solutions intended for batch production.Aid in the storage of bulk retained samples.Contribute to batch reconciliation and yield determination.Support the Lead Chemist or QC Manager with required duties.

Essential Skills

Experience in chemistry, quality control, and laboratory settings.Proficiency in using equipment such as viscometers and performing wet chemistry and titration.UVVIS - ICPMS - MASS SPEC Knowledge of quality control standards, including HPLC, empower software, validation, method development, and GMP.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

BS/BA degree in Chemistry or a related field, or equivalent lab testing experience of 1-2 years.Experience with analytical methods and wet chemistry is preferred.Undergraduate research experience is accepted.Strong mathematical skills.Experience with Netsuite, Oracle, or similar software.

Work Environment

The role is based in a manufacturing facility making consumer products. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional work on Fridays to meet business demands. The physical demands include standing and walking for long periods and the ability to move materials up to 50 pounds. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olive Branch, MS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
