**About the role!**
As a CBRE LTS Chemist, you will be responsible for performing advanced-level chemical analysis and laboratory services to ensure the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance in our life sciences customer’s laboratory operations.
**What you’ll do**
+ Perform a variety of instrumental analysis to produce data. The data will be owned by the client.
+ Conduct advanced chemical analyses and experiments to support research and development projects
+ Operate a variety of instrumentation to generate comprehensive and high-quality analytical results
+ Instrumentation includes X-ray diffractometers, microscopes, electron diffractometers, thermal analyzers, DSC, TGA, Hot-Stage Microscopy, and other analytical techniques.
+ Support minor instrument repairs, setup, software troubleshooting, and/or routine maintenance
+ Preparation of laboratory reagents
+ Analyze and purify compounds as required
+ Assist in development of new processes and improvement in existing processes
+ Perform method analysis and development
+ Perform daily work activities with crystallographic and analytical software (e.g., APEX, CrystalisPro, ShelXle, Olex2, CCDC tools, Bruker/Rigaku systems) as well as general programs such as ChemStation, Empower, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
+ Document laboratory work appropriately in laboratory notebooks and/or reports
+ Prepare detailed reports and documentation of experimental procedures, results, and conclusions
+ Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies
**What you’ll need**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered
+ Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
+ Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset
+ Sophisticated math skills. Ability to calculate mildly complex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound decisions
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of chemical analysis and laboratory services
