We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Chemist to join our team in a dynamic industrial environment. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and hands-on experience in chemical analysis, quality control, and process improvement.
ResponsibilitiesConduct quality control testing on production materials using techniques such as ICP, FTIR, pH, conductivity, alkalinity, and titrations.Maintain and monitor chemical solutions used in industrial processes.Perform microbiological and water treatment testing.Troubleshoot issues on the production floor and support operational efficiency.Collaborate with team members to identify and implement cost-saving and safety-enhancing initiatives.Maintain lab tools, equipment, and workspaces to ensure readiness and compliance.Manage inventory, track usage, and coordinate supply orders.Cross-train across lab functions to provide coverage during absences.Assist in developing testing protocols and reporting results.Step into supervisory duties when needed.Essential SkillsStrong understanding of basic chemistry principles and lab techniques.1-2+ years experience in a manufacturing lab or QA/QC setting.Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; ability to use formulas and create documentation.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssociates or Bachelors degree in applied sciences, chemistry, biology, or a related field.Comfortable lifting up to 70 pounds.Ability to work a 3-day schedule long term.Work EnvironmentThe lab is located onsite at a fluid management facility and is smaller in size but equipped with good analytical instruments like FTIR and ICP. The environment is climate-controlled within an industrial blue-collar plant. The work schedule consists of Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 12-hour shifts from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM, with training conducted on the first shift, Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM. This role involves working 36 hours over three days while being compensated for a full 40-hour workweek.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
