Chemical Waste Handler (Safety Health Associate)

Our client, a leading organization in the chemical industry, is seeking a Chemical Waste Handler to join their team. As a Chemical Waste Handler, you will be part of the Environmental Services department supporting various operational teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Chemical Waste Handler
**Location:** St. Louis, MO
**Shift:** Monday-Friday: 6:30am-3pm
**What's the Job?**
+ Process and pack waste for disposal following all government regulations and proper handling procedures.
+ Segregate container types and sort containers by hazard class.
+ Prepare kiln-ready lab packs according to government regulations and facility requirements.
+ Load and unload waste hauler trucks and ensure compliance with DOT segregation rules.
+ Maintain a clean, orderly, and compliant work area, ensuring all waste is properly labeled.
**What's Needed?**
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent plus 1 year of additional education in chemistry or related experience.
+ 1 to 3 years of chemical experience or related education.
+ Basic mathematics and computer skills, including knowledge of Windows, Word, and Excel.
+ Ability to operate various equipment such as forklifts and drum lifters.
+ Effective oral and written communication skills.
