**Job Title: Chemical Production Operator**
**Location: McCook IL**
**Shift:** Monday - Thursday 8AM-6PM
**Industry:** Chemical Manufacturing
**Position Summary:**
Our client is seeking an experienced **Chemical Production Operator** with a strong background in chemical processes and a commitment to safety. This is not an entry-level role — candidates must have at least **3 years of hands-on experience** working with **reactive chemicals** in a production or manufacturing setting.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Accurately add, mix, and monitor a wide range of chemicals according to process specifications
+ Load and unload tank trucks, and fill containers of varying sizes
+ Maintain accurate batch records including ingredients, weights, temperatures, and process status
+ Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently
+ Report any accidents, safety violations, or production concerns immediately
+ Collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience handling reactive chemicals in an industrial or manufacturing setting
+ Forklift experience is required
+ Must be capable of working any shift as needed
+ Proficient in basic math and comfortable using computers for data entry and reporting
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills
**Physical Requirements:**
+ Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
+ Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
+ Comfortable climbing stairs and navigating industrial workspaces
+ Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
+ Must wear required PPE at all times
**Additional Notes:**
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work independently and within a team. Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment is essential.
