**Job Title: Chemical Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a dedicated Chemical Operator responsible for mixing/blending materials, paint matching, and operating process equipment. The role involves monitoring plant equipment performance, unloading rail cars and tank wagons, and operating forklifts for staging materials. **Responsibilities** + Mix and blend materials according to standard manufacturing orders. + Monitor the performance of plant equipment and process conditions using various instruments, gauges, and meters. + Unload rail cars and tank wagons. + Operate a forklift to stage materials. + Ensure products are made correctly as per manufacturing orders. + Complete production and quality control reporting in a timely and accurate manner. + Maintain thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment. + Perform quality control analysis during manufacturing steps, including drawing samples for laboratory testing. + Follow all safety procedures and act safely at all times, understanding chemical hazards and safety measures (MSDS, use of PPE, etc.). + Maintain a neat and orderly work area. + Perform other related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Experience in chemical production, mixing, batching, and compounding. + 2 years of experience in multiple phase small batch production by weight. + Experience in granulation in batching processes. + Ability to perform weight conversions and basic math (addition/subtraction). + Knowledge of chemicals, including flammables. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Ability to work well under minimal supervision. + Attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to interact well with others. + Ability to operate basic hand tools. **Why Work Here?** We offer excellent growth opportunities, both in position and pay. Benefits including medical, dental, and vision are available as soon as contractors become full-time employees. **Work Environment** The position is in a chemical manufacturing plant environment, requiring the ability to perform strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as climbing, lifting objects up to 50 lbs, and moving heavy drums weighing 440+ lbs. The work environment is not climate controlled and involves 12-hour shifts, guaranteeing at least 48 hours per week. Available shifts include first shift (M-Th, 7am-7pm) and second shift (M-Th, 7pm-7am), with training provided on respective shifts. There are also occasional 8-hour shifts on Fridays, mostly voluntary. Safety shoes (non-steel toed) and FR uniforms with safety glasses are required. You must wear 100% cotton clothing under the uniform. Training includes a 4-8 week period and an 8-hour safety course. Each shift consists of 4 chemical compounders and a team lead. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr.
