We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to perform all chemical process functions for chemical batching. The role involves troubleshooting batching issues, implementing corrective actions, and scaling up and commercializing new formulas. You will also validate manufacturing and quality processes, support production scaling, analyze production data, and participate in deviation management.
ResponsibilitiesConduct root cause analysis (RCA) to troubleshoot batching issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for internal and external issues.Scale up and follow commercialization processes of new and adjusted formulas, validating all manufacturing and quality processes.Perform in-process batch adjustments and support production scaling to meet product specifications.Analyze production and laboratory data to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.Participate in the disposition of non-conforming materials and support deviation management.Coach and mentor other engineers, quality personnel, and production staff on projects and processes.Lead continuous improvement activities.Essential Skills1-5 years of experience in chemical process engineering.Strong skills in root cause analysis (RCA) and resolving customer complaints.Experience with internal production issues and batch adjustments.Expertise in scaling up and commercializing new products.Proficiency in chemical reactions, chemistry, laboratory operations, new product development, chemical manufacturing, quality control, and process engineering.Additional Skills & QualificationsDegree in Chemical Engineering or related field.Experience with CAPA, chemical equipment, and P&ID.Work EnvironmentThe position is based in a chemical manufacturing environment and laboratory. You will work across various areas including offices, laboratories, and production areas. The role is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with flexible working hours typically ranging from 40 to 45 hours per week, up to 50 during large projects. Collaboration with R&D, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Customers, Sales, and leadership is essential.
