Our client, a dynamic and innovative casual dining establishment, is seeking a Chef and Operations Lead to join their team. As a Chef and Operations Lead, you will be part of the culinary team supporting a vibrant dining experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a creative culinary vision, and a commitment to cleanliness and safety, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Chef and Operations Lead
**Location:** Big Bay, MI
**Pay Range:** $25 - $30 per Hour, based on Experience
**Shift:** 40 hours/week, nights and weekends required
**What's the Job?**
+ Oversee all kitchen operations in a 12-table casual dining environment.
+ Develop and manage weekly staff schedules to ensure optimal kitchen coverage.
+ Lead recruitment, onboarding, and training of kitchen staff.
+ Enforce kitchen policies and procedures to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
+ Collaborate with ownership to design and update seasonal menus.
**What's Needed?**
+ Reliable year-round transportation to Big Bay, MI, or the ability to live locally.
+ Proven experience in a leadership role within a professional kitchen.
+ Strong organizational and team management skills.
+ Creative culinary vision with the ability to develop seasonal menus.
+ Commitment to cleanliness and safety, with knowledge of food safety regulations.
