Chassis Dyno Technician

Job Title: Technician

Openings on 2nd and 3rd Shifts

Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing the chassis dyno operation at the Allen Park Test Lab. This role involves testing 4-5 vehicles on the chassis dynos during each shift. The candidate will actively participate by driving the vehicles on the chassis dyno and setting up the equipment to collect emissions data. Candidates must have experience operating a chassis dyno.

Responsibilities

Manage and operate the chassis dyno for vehicle testing.Drive vehicles on the chassis dyno for emissions testing.Set up and attach exhaust equipment to vehicles for emissions data collection.Troubleshoot issues related to chassis dynamometer and test systems.Participate in data collection and analysis to ensure accurate test results.

Essential Skills

Strong automotive technical aptitude.Proficient in vehicle diagnostics and test system instrumentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Preferred experience with Dyno and other automotive technician roles.Strong technical writing skills.Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.Ability to present information to large groups.Self-motivated with the ability to handle multiple tasks.Adaptability to changing requirements and schedules.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean lab setting.

The role involves working on the Dyno Team, with hours on the 2nd (3:00 pm – 11:30 pm) and 3rd shifts: (11:00 pm – 7:30 am).

Candidates should be flexible with their work schedules.

This is a long-term, open-ended project with anticipated growth in work demand. It offers an opportunity to gain experience with a major automotive OEM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Allen Park, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
