Job Title: Certified Welding Inspector - 2nd Shift
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for our 2nd shift. The role involves using Non-Destructive Testing equipment to inspect welds for defects such as cracks and porosity and performing dimensional accuracy checks. This position requires physical activity, as you will be on your feet for most of your shift. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing basic mathematical calculations and documenting findings using Microsoft Office Software. Collaborating with the weld supervisor, you will help in training and developing welders and welding assistants.
Responsibilities
Utilize Non-Destructive Testing equipment to inspect welds for defects.Perform dimensional accuracy checks on welds.Execute basic mathematical calculations, including converting fractions to decimals.Document findings using Microsoft Office Software.Collaborate with the weld supervisor to train and develop welders and welding assistants.Essential Skills
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.5-10+ years of experience in a steel or aluminum fabrication environment.Experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and fillet weld gauges.Experience with Microsoft Office Software - Word, Excel, and Outlook.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.Welding background prior to becoming a CWI.Why Work Here?
