Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: + Health, dental, and vision insurance options + Paid vacation, sick time and holidays + Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options + Employer 401K options + Tuition reimbursement options + Life, disability, and other insurance options + Many other amazing benefits Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/ Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): + Supervise and mentor junior surgical technologists and assis t with their training and development , demonstrate proper techniques, reinforce sterile procedures and share best practices + C ount and track sponges, needles, and tools to prevent retained items , accurate counts of all items used in the surgical procedure + Set up the operating room by sterilizing and arranging instruments supplies and equipment while preparing patients for surgery through proper positioning and sterile draping + Assist during surgery by passing instruments maintaining a sterile field and anticipating the surgical team’s needs while tracking instruments and sponges + Support postoperative care by applying dressings transporting patients to recovery and cleaning and restocking the operating room + Follow strict infection control protocols ensure safe handling of specimens and maintain compliance with hospital and regulatory standards + Collaborate with surgeons , nurses , anesthesiologists and sterile processing staff while communicating effectively in high-pressure situations Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
