U.S. Got People (USGP) is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support the Family Practice Clinic at Naval Hospital Jacksonville and the Deployment Health Clinical Center at Naval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville. This is a meaningful opportunity to serve military service members, veterans, and their families within a respected federal healthcare setting.

Position Details:

Schedule:Naval Hospital Jacksonville: Monday – FridayNaval Branch Health Clinic Jacksonville: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PMCompensation & Benefits:Competitive hourly pay + Health & Welfare stipendMedical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and 401(k)Paid Time Off and Sick Leave

Qualifications:

Education:Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES-accredited medical assistant program, orCompletion of a formal medical services training program of the U.S. Armed ForcesCertification (in addition to current BLS):Certified Medical Assistant by one of the following:American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)American Medical Technologists (AMT)American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)Experience:Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience within the past 3 years as a CMA in a family practice or primary care outpatient setting

Immunization Requirements (Must be current or able to obtain):

Hepatitis B (series and titer)Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)Varicella (Chickenpox)TB (Tuberculosis) testSeasonal Influenza vaccineCOVID-19 vaccine (if applicable)

Core Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Prepare and retrieve medical records in accordance with clinic proceduresAssist providers during patient examinations and transport patients as neededAdminister medications under provider supervisionSupport clinical operations by checking charts for signatures and diagnosisCollect, prepare, and process lab specimens and resultsPerform and assist with basic lab tests, EKGs, blood draws, and IV setupsEducate patients on medications and administer immunizations per MTF guidelinesOperate medical equipment such as:Automatic Blood Pressure MonitorsEKG Machines (12-lead)TympanometersHandheld NebulizersElectronic ThermometersIV Infusion Pumps (set-up only)Answer phones, take accurate messages, and coordinate with other departmentsMaintain equipment safety and participate in inventory proceduresProvide patient follow-up communications regarding labs and test results
