Description We are looking for a dynamic Chief Executive Officer to lead a tribal lending enterprise in El Reno, Oklahoma. This position requires a visionary leader capable of driving strategic growth while maintaining alignment with tribal sovereignty, values, and economic development goals. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in lending, compliance, and strategic management to ensure operational excellence and sustainable growth.
Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the tribal lending enterprise, ensuring alignment with tribal values and long-term economic development objectives.
• Oversee all operational aspects, including lending strategies, risk management, compliance frameworks, financial performance, and customer experience.
• Ensure adherence to tribal laws, federal regulations, and governance policies, safeguarding the Tribe’s sovereignty and interests.
• Collaborate with the Tribal Council, Board of Directors, and other governing bodies as the primary liaison.
• Develop and implement growth strategies that promote profitability, sustainability, and responsible lending practices.
• Lead executive and senior management teams, fostering accountability, ethical leadership, and operational excellence.
• Monitor financial health, portfolio performance, and key performance indicators; approve budgets and capital allocation plans.
• Manage relationships with vendors, third-party providers, and strategic partners critical to the lending operations.
• Identify and mitigate risks, including legal, regulatory, credit, and reputational challenges.
• Represent the organization in regulatory discussions, industry forums, and strategic negotiations to uphold the Tribe’s interests. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in banking, lending, underwriting, or a related field.
• Strong background in government grants and federal regulations.
• Expertise in commercial, consumer, and business lending practices.
• Proven ability to develop and execute growth strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Experience in overseeing budgets, assessing risks, and monitoring financial performance.
• Knowledge of audit compliance and regulatory frameworks within the banking industry.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to work effectively with tribal leadership and governing bodies.
• Commitment to ethical leadership and fostering a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
