**About the Role:**
As a CBRE Central Utilities Plant Supervisor, you will be responsible for engineering operations and the direction of technicians, vendors, and subcontractors.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Supervise and manage a team of 7, including 1 Lead Technician, 5 Building Engineers, and 1 Maintenance Technician.
+ Develop and maintain 24-hour operational schedules to ensure continuous and efficient facility operations.
+ Create and oversee Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to extend equipment life and reduce downtime.
+ Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance services.
+ Monitor and report on Central Utility Plant (CUP) performance metrics to ensure optimal system functionality.
+ Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
+ Review work orders and resolve complex issues, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
+ Consult with clients to schedule preventive maintenance and other downtime to minimize business interruption and inconvenience.
+ Formulate and implement a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life.
+ Inspect the work performed by staff members to ensure quality and completeness.
+ Confirm that all work is complete, equipment is fully functional, and client spaces are in prime working condition.
+ Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
+ Apply standard principles with growing practical experience.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
+ Work within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
+ Communicate effectively by exchanging straightforward information, asking questions, and checking for understanding.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2–3 years of job-related experience
+ _In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered_
+ Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions
+ Minimum 2 years of people management experience
+ Hands-on experience operating and troubleshooting boilers and high-pressure steam systems
+ Familiarity with chillers (currently operating 3 x 1000-ton units), cooling towers, and boilers
+ Industrial background required (residential experience not sufficient)
+ Pharma experience preferred but not mandatory
+ Acceptable backgrounds include university/medical campuses and corporate parkways
+ Strong technical skills in:
+ Boiler/HVAC systems
+ Repair and troubleshooting
+ Scheduling and metrics tracking
+ Ability to meet physical demands:
+ Stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders
+ Lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
+ Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems
+ Experience analyzing information and applying standard practices to make sound judgments
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
+ Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
+ Intermediate math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related figures
