In this role, you will leverage your creativity & technical foundation to support and lead the proof of principles, development & risk assessment of productivity projects impacting biscuits, chocolates and candies in the North America market (Canda and USA). Working as part of a Regional Productivity team, you deliver the RDQ activities required to support the feasibility assessment of ideas, review and modify specifications, develop products via bench top and pilot plant, coordinate the sensory validation, in some cases, asses the feasibility of some materials BCPs and other activities with emphasis on meeting the productivity targets
How you will contribute
With the support and guidance of a manager or a Sr. Researcher, you will support, coordinate or lead, R&D projects in line with quality, regulatory, sensory and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will plan and conduct design of experiments, benchtop and pilot plant trials, and sometimes factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. Also development activities as partnering with suppliers and procurement, product shelf-life testing, designing for quality, consumer test preparation etc.. You will also write technical reports that will require the analysis and interpretation of results and that lead to conclusions and recommendations and create and maintain accurate consumer-led specifications to ensure we maintain product quality with the consumer at the center of our developments.

Education / Certifications:
Bachelor’s in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
Job specific requirements:
2-3 years of experience in related field.
Travel requirements:
Up to 10-15% domestic and potentially international.
Work schedule:
This position is based in East Hanover, NJ, as main location, and Whippany as an additional location with a hybrid work model offering a mix of onsite and remote flexibility.
Salary and Benefits:
The base salary range for this position is $66,400 to $91,300; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
