Cell Operator - Suspect
**Job Title: Cell Operator** **Job Description** This role involves ensuring the upkeep and operation of automated adapters that interface with a conveyor system. The Cell Operator will assist in preparing the system for readiness to meet performance targets and utilize Human/Machine Interface (HMI) terminals effectively. The role involves physical activities like identifying misplaced products, cleaning sensors, and crawling within the structure. **Responsibilities** + Ensure safety commitments are met daily in compliance with OSHA and customer processes. + Perform pre-production checks on automated adapters to ensure equipment readiness. + Monitor and process automated storage and retrieval systems using adapters. + Prepare pallets for induction into the system. + Assess causes of system stoppage and return to service using HMI and manual intervention. + Assist team members in systems troubleshooting. + Analyze recurring faults and determine corrective actions. + Communicate issues impacting production to operational leadership. + Contribute to system uptime through preservation, robot recovery, and health actions. + Make recommendations for process and continuous improvement. + Perform system inspections including cleaning, lubrication, and component validation. + Report out of spec conditions and perform root cause corrective actions. + Maintain continuous operation of system components. + Utilize radio etiquette for instructions from leadership. + Perform rover bot upkeep including replacing wheels, cleaning, and sensor maintenance. + Responsible for robotic vehicle recovery in restrictive environments. + Assist Automation technicians with breakdown calls and system availability. **Essential Skills** + 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, either as a Machine Operator or Entry Level Maintenance. + Technical skills including the use of touchscreens, computers, and mobile phones. + Problem-solving skills to identify and communicate issues with solutions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school graduate or trade school preferred. + Experience in machine operating, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and manufacturing. + Skills in automation, production, machine operation, mechanical, robotics, preventive maintenance, and repair. **Why Work Here?** The company is experiencing growth due to its advanced products and systems, which are years ahead of the competition. The environment includes high racking up to 45 feet, restrictive areas of 24 inches. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Melrose Park, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
