Job Description Job Overview: As a Senior Network Engineer in the Customer Experience (CX) Delivery organization, you will design, implement, and optimize Cisco Data Center solutions for some of the largest and most complex networks in the world. Your role will focus on: 70% Nexus Data Center, 20% ACI, and 10% automation. Standing up new ACI environments and supporting migrations from Nexus to ACI. Performing software upgrades and troubleshooting fabrics (standalone, multipod, multisite). Automating repeatable tasks and ACI changes using Python and related tools. Acting as a strategic partner to customers by preventing network incidents and ensuring high availability. Collaborating globally to deliver scalable, high-quality services and provide guidance to engineering teams. Skills and Requirements 10+ years in networking, consulting, or support services. Deep expertise in Data Center Networking, Software Defined Networking, and related technologies. Strong knowledge of Cisco Nexus platforms (2k/5k/7k/9k) and NX-OS. Proficiency in Layer 2 (vPC, port channels, STP) and Layer 3 (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) protocols. Hands-on experience with VXLAN, QoS, and multicast routing. Skilled in ACI Fabric bring-up, forwarding services, and programmability. Familiarity with ACI Multi-Pod and Multi-Site implementations. Knowledge of Nexus Dashboard Insights and Orchestration for ACI. Extensive hands-on experience with APIC, fabric setup, contracts, policies, and multi-site architectures. Ability to troubleshoot fabric discovery, endpoint learning, static bindings, Bridge Domains, and L3Out configurations. Strong understanding of ACI device provisioning and upgrades. Proficiency in Python for ACI migrations and automation tasks. Familiarity with XML, JSON, and tools like NSO, Postman, and Insomnia. CCIE Data Center (preferred) or equivalent experience. Plusses: Experience with Cisco UCS, Hyperflex, VMware, Microsoft, or Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud technologies. Exposure to container environments and virtualization. Self-starter with a passion for technology and continuous learning.
