**Job Title: CDL A Driver** **Job Description** As a CDL A Driver, you will be responsible for completing all phases of product handling, ensuring deliveries to customers are made safely and on time. This role requires adherence to product specifications, company policies, and standards. The position involves touch freight, requiring unloading assistance at delivery points, and availability for at least two overnight stays per week. **Responsibilities** + Drive safely, adhering to all DOT regulations for extended periods. + Read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and make entries on reports and records. + Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate a delivery vehicle in a touch freight role. + Perform warehousing and merchandise handling tasks. + Provide customer assistance by completing required staging and assembly tasks. + Ensure safe and timely deliveries to customers. + Accurately load customers and inspect for damaged materials. + Provide personal attention to customer requests or product needs during loading. + Maintain and practice company and DOT safety policies and procedures. + Ensure building and product security, including inventory and damage control. + Maintain Federal and State required logs. + Manage cash and company credit card, submitting timely expense reports. + Serve as a backup driver for transporting material to Kansas manufacturing facilities. + Assist in the completion of production orders. + Accurately unload and receive incoming product. + Perform other duties as reasonably assigned. **Essential Skills** + Valid Class A CDL and meet the minimum DOT age requirement of 21 years old. + Three to five years of driving experience. + Clear and effective written and oral communication in English. + Superb driving record. + Ability to operate power tools. + Mechanical inclination. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Customer service oriented. + Experience with forklift operation. **Why Work Here?** Join a team where safety and timely delivery are prioritized, with opportunities to showcase your driving skills and mechanical aptitude.
